How to Use this Glossary

Click on any term in the left column and see a definition in the right column. Don't forget, you can scroll up and down in that left column; there are hundreds of definitions.

You may also follow links in any definition to display a definition of that linked term. Explore all you want, and you'll be an expert on hearing loss before you know it.

This glossary is a work in progress; the terms with asterisks beside them are not yet defined. But they can be if you'll submit a suitable definition. If you click on one of those not yet defined terms, you'll see a simple form you can use to define a term. If you give me your name (it's optional), we'll even give you credit at the bottom of the definition for having helped with the definition. So, lend a hand and help make this the best glossary of terms related to hearing loss on the Internet.

If you see any corrections or clarifications that need to be made, or if you would like to suggest a new term or acronym to be added to the list, or if you'd like to suggest a correction or improvement, you can submit them here. Just type away and hit the submit button, and your suggestions will be considered.
